Jerry, N4EO, OM of Angie, KH6EO, first licensed in 1962 during freshman year of high school in Franklin, TN.

Studied EE at Vanderbilt (BE-'69) and University of MO, Columbia (MSEE-'70). Then I diverted to medical school at the U of TN, Memphis (MD- '75). Active duty US Army '75-'89 and 2004-2010 as radiologist and nuclear medicine doctor (my last 6 years in the Army I was stationed in Honolulu at Tripler Army Medical Center).

Ham radio interests: antenna experimenting and QRP. Operated from Seoul, Korea summers of '06 and '09 while working at the US Army hospital at Yongson Garrison with call HL9EO and from Sulaymaniyah, N Iraq '11-'12 while, along with Angie, we served as volunteers teaching at the Classical School of the Medes with call YI9EO and Angie was YI9AB.

Currently enjoying Elmering a couple of one MD friend's grandkids and doing "show and tell" mostly about QRP for a few minutes at monthly meeting of our local ham club

I returned Iraq in Dec 2013 to consult in Erbil, a city in the Kurdish region, for a clinic undertaking PET/CT imaging and returned in November 2015. Getting a medical cyclotron up and running with ISIS in the neighborhood continues to be a challenge. I also was an invited lecturer for medical students at University of Kurdistan-Hawler
