Ham radio interests: antenna experimenting and QRP. Operated from Seoul, Korea summers of '06 and '09 while working at the US Army hospital at Yongson Garrison with call HL9EO and from Sulaymaniyah, N Iraq '11-'12 while, along with Angie, we served as volunteers teaching at the Classical School of the Medes with call YI9EO and Angie was YI9AB.

Currently enjoying Elmering a couple of one MD friend's grandkids and doing "show and tell" mostly about QRP for a few minutes at monthly meeting of our local ham club www.w4ggm.org
A recent undertaking took me back to Iraq in Dec 2013 to consult in Erbil, a city in the Kurdish region, for a clinic starting PET/CT imaging. This should put me back in Iraq a few more times in coming months and maybe give me the opportunity for more Elmering there and an opportunity for more time on the air from Iraq.
Photo was taken in Sulaymaniyah 5 Dec 2013 with me and a few students from previous time teaching in Iraq. These students have shown continuing interest in amateur radio.
